By Public Transport

It is possible to travel by public transport using Western Isles buses. However, if you want to use the bus on the isles, make sur you check the timetables in advance as some services do not operate daily and certain are covered on a request only basis (meaning that the driver needs to be informed of the passengers intended destinations in advance). You can also check return journey pick up points and timetables with the bus driver on arrival.

For independent travellers, we have found that apps like Rome2Rio can be very useful to plan your route.
